Deloitte & Touche, the UK's fastest
growing professional services firm, has unveiled its third
annual ranking of London & the South East's fastest growing
technology companies. New
Malden based Alpha was placed 31st in the region's rankings
with an impressive growth rate of 99.6%.
The Fast 50 programme tracks the growth
rates of technology companies in seven regions in the UK and
Ireland, culminating in a national ranking in May 2001. This
year, in London and the South East, it is co-sponsored with
techMARK, the London Stock Exchange market for technology
companies, Investec Henderson Crosthwaite and Kettlefish.

The Technology Fast 50 programme seeks out those
companies, which have shown impressive growth rates in the telecommunications,
hardware, software and biotechnology markets.
In this year's London and the South East regional
final the lowest growth rate from 1997 to 1999 is identified as
being an impressive 50% with the highest at 2,939%.
"The past year has been an unpredictable
one for the UK technology sector. The technology market is maturing
fast and UK companies are rapidly joining the ranks of other more
established companies as international leaders," says Abbey
Shasore.
